From Ashley's to Luxie Extension Studios
As you may have heard through our newsletter and website video, Ashley's Extensions will now be going by a new name: Luxie Extension Studios. Canon Wing (www.CanonWing.com), a professional namer with popular national brands such as Hershey's and Kodak on her client list, has donated her time to help us develop Luxie as a new name for our ever growing, more expansive brand. Expect a complete transition to Luxie by the end of 2015 but for now take notice of the little changes: new t-shirts, brochures, flyers, banners, etc. We are excited for the new and promising future of Luxie Extension Studios. Welcome!
Opening New Location in University Park, Dallas, TX
We're opening up a part-time studio in Dallas, TX in the historical University Park neighborhood. Ashley, lead extension technician, and owner of Luxie Extension Studios, is originally from Dallas. And rather than pack her bags and move to Dallas where her family and roots are, why not open up shop and operate in both cities she calls home? Texas is well known for its passion for beauty and especially for hair (you know, the higher the hair...) why not share with Dallas what she's learned in Los Angeles: how to make each client an even more beautiful, more fabulous them. Look out Dallas, TX!
Master Stylist Services vs. Junior Stylist Services
You may have noticed that new Master Stylist Services have made a home on our Service Page. And you may be asking yourself "why the new services" and "what's the difference"? For starters, the salon is getting busier and although Ashley wishes she were three people with the ability to be in more place than one at a time while only living on two hours of sleep, unfortunately that is not the case. The reality is that the salon needs more trained technicians and talented people are hard to find and even harder to train.
She's lucked out though and found some amazing young professionals that are hungry to learn, eager to please, and have a similar approach to customer service as Ashley. They've trained with Ashley for the past year and have been brought onto the floor as Junior Stylists, which is why there are the two different services.
Why is Ashley Always Traveling?
This stylist is not always gone, just always booked up when you need her. She'll tell you, as always, to book early. But why is she all over the place? What is she up to jumping from city to city every weekend? Unless you're a beauty professional, you probably had no idea that there are more than 20 hair shows across the country, even more on a global scale.
Ashley has signed a contract with one of the leading extension suppliers in the world, DreamCatchers, promising to teach, demonstrate, and instruct new and improved extension techniques to fellow beauty professionals at more than 14 hair shows all acoss the country. Yes, your hair styist kicks hair extension butt and people pay good money to learn from her.
What does that mean for you? Well, again, book early, but also trust that your stylist is not only looked to as a reliable voice of what do do and not do in her trade but is constantly learning from her peers and sharperning her tools to bring back to you, her loyal clients. We know it can be annoying at times not to get the appointment you want when you want it but know that she appreciates you working with her and is only striving to be a better professional, which only results in more expert services.
